DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE OR IF THERE IS SUCH A THING. I AM LOOKING TO STIFFEN MY ONE PCS. FIBERGLASS HOOD.
I AM ALSO LOOKING TO FIND A WAY TO MOUNT A LATCH SYSTEM TO THE FRONT TOP OF GRILL IN FRONT OF THE RADIATOR, AS I WANT THE HOOD TO OPEN LIKE ANY NEW CONVENTIONAL HOOD

ANY IDEAS??

only thing i can think of is to make a couple C-Channels that follow the underside of the hood, and then maybe connect them somehow.

Bomo: Here is something that I did to a 40 willys glass hood when I opened it up for injector stacks, I took some plastic hose, turned the hood upside down and put the hose around the area the hole was to be cut out and used fiber glass matting and glassed right over the hose. about 2 layers and let it set up. It worked great, a stiffener bead all around the hole. didn't sag a bit. I don't know if you can use any of this info but maybe putting a hose in the area you want to reinforce would do it...GlennK

Make your own scoop by cutting the hood like I did... It made my flimsy 85 camaro hood stiff like a rock and I haven't even welded in the supports I cut off another hood (to fill the gap between where I cut and lifted) heh too bad I can't bend that one part straight that is still crooked.. oh well all in time
