The formula for CFM is (CIDxMax RPM) / 3456
CFM with change with engine size and diffrent things done to the engine of course but to get an avg. idea of how many CFM's an engine will use use that formula at least for a stock type engine.

IE. 350x5500 = 1925000 / 3456 = 557 or as carbs go 600CFM
