What are the steps I need to take to remove the center member and axles ? The rearend is out of the vehicle and sitting on blocks.
You need to unbolt the axle retainers located behind the axle flange. There are 4 bolts that hold the retainer onto the housing. Once you remove the 4 bolts, you can pull the axles out. Depending on how tight the bearings are fit into the housing, you may have to tap the axles out with a deadblow hammer. Once you have the axles out, you remove the nuts holding the center section in and then you can remove it.
