Newbie here. I just purchased a built 37 Ford 'Downs' coupe. I'm trying to determine which Mustang 2 (I've been told it is) IFS kit I have for purposes of buying parts & establishing alignment specs, etc. Hub to hub measurement is 56-1/2", this measurement is from the wheel mating flanges (as I was unable to determine if that's actually where the measurement is taken). Don't see any label plate or Part number stampings. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Les, welcome. There are so many different manufacturers of MII front ends it's next to impossible to identify who's it is. Even if you do find out they won't tell you who's ball joints they used. As far as brakes go, most likely they are GM metrics. Spindles are either stock Ford or maybe 2" drop spindles (aftermarket). Don't know if you have coil overs or coil springs with shocks. Coilovers are all after market...take your pick if you need to replace them. Coils and shocks can be stock.

Thanks 39 master

I have coil springs with conventional looking shocks as well as what appears to be the GM metric calipers. I was kinda hoping to get info useful in purchase of new shocks & brake pads. Am I looking at taking the removed parts to local parts houses in hope of matching them up then?

Usually the shocks have numbers on them that will help to identify but, again, most likely stock Ford part. Yes, I would take the pucks to the dealer. When it comes to spitballing parts I use Rock Auto. Lots of good info there as well as good prices if you can wait a few days.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I'm all over Rock Auto. Not being in a hurry can save serious bucks for sure.
