I just picked up a 32 AA truck from a friend. Since the frame is so beefy and the body pretty rough I thought it would make a good rat rod project. I would like to know how to set up a suicide front end that will allow me to get the front as low as possible, using a stock front axle and stock radius rods(not hairpins). Any old school tricks would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to do a rat rod, proper way is to split the stock Ford wishbone and attach it to the frame rails, weld a plate out front of the frame with a couple of gussets and bolt on the axle. Suspension will bind a little but not intolerable and authentic. If you want better action, go with 4-bar links but that ain't rat! See photos in car mags or shoot some at a rod runs for the details.
