Hi Guys,
Got a 350 chev engine. Pull plug wires 1 by 1. Number 4 and number 6 cylinders have no change. Std ignition with points. New coil. put new wires and plugs, with no change. Didn't have a compression tester today to run dry and wet test. Anyone guessing anything besides valve seats ?
Thanks for your input.

Thanks for the reply. Checked the push rods, no bottom out of a rocker, forgot to check the rise on the rockers to find out if the lobs on the cam are ok. Did check the slope between the dist. bushing an shaft and ok, did check the lobs on the dist shaft and ok. Quiet a lot of hours on this one and wondering if a cracked valve seat. Boats are bad for that. We will probably go ahead and pull the head next to see. May have to go the hard way.
thanks again,
Steve
