So I've had my old 350/700r4 (the one with a hole thru one of the cylinder walls the size of my fist) just sitting in the garage taking up space. So my dad told me that there was a special 'City of Dallas' disposal truck coming Monday (today). He said, "ya they can take your engine, just put on the curb and they will drive by and throw in the garbage truck".

So I managed yesterday to get that 350/700r4 out to the curb. But I've just got a feeling that the desposal crew wont know exactly how to handle this one. Oh Boy hope the bringing a crane. If I get hope before they take it I'll try to get some picture of this. Wow our neighbors must really hate us.....

Comments? Anybody.... Think they will take it or just be confused...

If they dont take it I'm making my dad put it back...

. Why would you dispose of the 700r4 Transmission just because the engine is trash? If I were you I would find another engine to mate it with for a future project. $$$ave $$$ome $$$$$$$$$

The 700r4 had some issues getting above second gear. But more importantly the New 383 motor that I'm putting in is post to push 485HP. I was told I would be looking at about the same price to get that old 700 fixed and ready to handle that power as it would be to get a Heavy Duty HP one (new with Warr.).

Poncho brings back memories...........Garbage pickers would always drive thru our neighborhood late at night,rumage thru everything and leave a mess out in front.Then me and my little brother would have to go out every day until the city finally came and got it and clean and restack.We finally got tired of it and climbed up on our roof one night,when the pickers came thru,we unloaded on them from the roof,potatoes,eggs,walnuts still in the husk,eggs,even some stones.They left and more would come.Same method of destruction,they finally just started to pass by our house.I mean there would be alot of these guys in the neighboorhoods on these nights,I guess they got the word out to their brothers in trash to stay away from the Grey House!!!My mom did not know until a few years ago why the trash started to stay neat.She thought no one wanted our trash.

Well when I got home from work the 350/700r4 were gone. But there was a note on my door from my nieghbor. So I went and spoke with her she said a bunch of teenagers in a pickup asked her if the motor/tranni were her's. She said I think its being thrown out by my nieghbor. The Teens said "No way", they told her they wanted it but felt bad about taking it. So they gave her $100 to give to me. I cant complain.

The scalpers beat the garbage guys.... Man there fast...

thats why we are always talking smack about yankees.
Southerners for the most part feel guilty for doing stuff like that.
thats why when people come down here, they like it so much.... we'll take anyone in and treat them like family........ though when you leave we will probably talk crap about you, lol.
