I need help taking apart my 67 steering column.I was hoping you guys could steer me in the right direction.Every time I make a hard turn my front blinkers stop working.I think two wires in the steering column are touching each other.How do I start?Do I take the steering wheel off first or is there another way to get in there?Thanks bm

The 67 is a little more simple than the one Bob posted;

Just remove the steering wheel. You will need a puller, then the horn contact ring, and there it is, Remove the actuator arm, unplug it from the harness, remove three screws and pull it out.

It's called a steering wheel puller. A parts store should have them.
If you don't have a manual, go to the local library and make copies of the pages you need from a repair manual. It's pretty simple.
