I'm building a 383 stroker to go in my monte carlo and i am wondering how this cam that i have is going to idle. it is a 292/302 duration, .488/.510 lift and the lobe separation is 114. i also have another cam that is a 292/292 duration, .488/.488 lift and 114 lobe seperation.

what is the duration @ .050" lift??

a 114 LSA will decrease the valve overlap a good bit compared to a 110, so that will make the cam have a nicer idle than another cam of the same duration but tighter LSA. The overall lift really is added info, but doesn't help determine idle quality. The duration @.050 will tell more. Adv. duration can vary pretty greatly from company to company and profile of the lobes.

dur. .050

the dur at .050 for the 292/292 is 234/234 and the dur for the 292/302 is 234/244. both cams are from summit. i already have a 2500 stall converter and the tranny has a full manual valve body. any opinions on how they will idle and how they will work would really help me.

The 1107 (.488/.510) had a rather nice lopey idle and a 2500 stall is about the lowest stall I would try to use... I have had several of these in various SBC`s and really liked the power and sound it makes... Havent tried the other one...
