I need to replace the headliner in my 58 Ford Fairlane 300 custom. To do so requires that I have to remove the rear window. Is there any way to soften up there rubber prior to trying to remove the glass? Ive been told that if I break the glass I cant get a replacement. HELP! <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

the fastest way to remove of course is to cut it out which is kinda hard on the rubber seal. get a hair dryer a good heavy duty one and try heating the rubber it will become pliable. but the best bet is to get a new rubber gasket. i know they are expensive and hard to get. but the results are worth it. thanks bob
