I need suggestions: I have a engine cross member that is from chassis engineering, tube type and my frame rail is a C type. What would be the easiest and best way to install it. I have a few ideas of my own but I would like to get some others and even pic's if all possible. I am doing a frame off. Thanks, Dana ( I am only installing a 327 stock, no huge power!)

cross member

hi,when i installed my tube crossmember,i boxed the c channel rail about 6 inches where the cross member would be,then i welded small plates to the c.m.(and drilled 4 3/8 in holes in c.m. and boxed section then bolted the c.m. in. that way i can remove the c.m. if need be. im boatbob2

Thanks boatbob, sound like a good idea, I won't worry about ever taking it out though, cause when I weld, man I weld, ha , ha, thanks again, also chassis engineering sends the end plates to slip in and either bolt or weld! What I was thinking about doing is set it up on the inside and box around the tube on the inside! Thanks for the input, Dana
