I registered here some time ago and looked in occasionally.
I have been fabricating, welding, and painting for about 35 years, mostly sheet metal. I have worked in the past in auto body and at one time did a lot of custom paint and airbrush on motorcycles. I only do an occasional paint job (bike) for friends these days.
When I come here I like to read the "Body-Exterior" posts to see others opinions about the ever changing paint and body materials and their methods of use. You can never stop learning new things and should never forget the old.
I'm a gear head at heart. Ran a 66 Fairlane GT when I was a teen. Blew up the original 390 in short order and replaced it with a 428 CJ. Couldn't keep up with the car with gas station attendant wages at the time and had to give it up.
These days I have fun with my son racing asphalt ovals, he's the driver, I'm everything else. Don't have the time or cash for a play car but do have an old Harley I ride when I get the time.
Ok, I expect that's way more info than anybody needed.
