This is a very important question that some of you might be able to help me with.

My grandmother has an old Jeep CJ5 (unsure of year, carbureted) it has an inline 6 4 speed and 4WD. Is it possible to swap my Dodge 318 from a 1976 D-200 (3/4 ton truck with 4 speed 2WD, carbureted) into it. If so, would the current transmission work or would I have to use the currend dodge trans?

Are the motor mounts in the same place and if so what other modifications would have to be made?

anything is possible with an adaptor plate and a welder. I thought this thing would go like 0-90 in like 10 seconds or something. Why do you want the inline?

i don't want the inline, i want the jeep (4wheel drive, if its a mudder its funner) (wrecked the truck) found out the spedo was off so it was like 0-65, I was lied to and found out it has 6.1x gears in the rear end.
