I poped out to the garage to take some measurment to try & find so spring locator's to fit these new heads I seam to have lumbered myself with but noticed that the guides/rocker arm stud/ push-rod holes don't seem to lign up.
there 2.02 & 1.6 valves , but running a straight edge down the center line between the 3 points makes shows them as if not parallel to the head " rockers would all run on a scew.
Now im new to these Chevy engines so don't have any experience to go buy,so is this normal or do I have big problems?

Who,s heads are those? Some require a .150 offset rocker because of the valve placement.

unknown brand, bought them privately, however Im getting the feeling there possible chinese ebay specials.

Get adjustable guide plates from Isky. You may still have to grind on the intake runner or use offset rockers and/or lifters to get everything lined up.

Actually its not the valve placement, its the size of the intake runners.

No casting marks? stamped numbers....anywhere? These will take some massaging to make these right. Are the holes for the studs drilled in the right place? You have a guide plate you can set on there and see if they are right?

As they didn't cost.me much ive decided to cut my losses & not waste any more time on theseas theres clearly more than a port & polish required to get these up to spec, so gonna have a look into another set.

If it was me I'd be checking the deck angle to be sure it was 23 degrees. As well as the valve placement, it might well be a 60/40 set up, not uncommon w/aftermarket heads. At least then you'd have a better idea of what you were working with.
