I am considering painting my 30 Model A streetrod myself and the spraygun I am considering buying is a Iwata. Basically because it is not an air hog and My compressor will handle it. The question is, can I paint the car BC/CC with the Iwata300-134LV? It is a ltttle smaller than the Iwata400. Should I use the 1.3 or the 1.4 tip Also and they speak of paint cap,I am not sure what they are referring to. Can someone shed some light? thanks, great site!

Iwata spray gun

Hi,
I don't have too much experience with those model spray guns, but I have used the Iwata airbrushes before and they are excellent. I think the 'paint cap' that they are talking about is paint capacity for the pot.

I would order the 1.4 tip myself..Main thing is to shoot some practice layouts to get the gun adjusted just right so it shoots wet and slick with the material you are using..that goes for any gun that you buy..
