I just signed in here and wanted to introduce myself. I reside near Cleveland, Georgia and I'm disabled. I have a 69 Mustang Coupe that I'm making into a Shelby de Mexico. I'm not hispanic, just like those stangs. I don't get to work much on mine and am hoping to pick up some good pointers from those who know. Look forward to being here! Jerry

What is a Shelby de Mexico

In the mid 60s Carroll Shelby went into a partnership with his major parts distributor in Mexico to build a racing Shelby type Mustang. For some reason they could not get the fastbacks to use so they made fins to add to coupes. These cars came with almost any option you could afford. The main noticable options were the fins with a coupe rear window and the 65 Thunderbird tail lights like the American version. All these cars were counted as GT350's. The beauty of this is that you can add or delete any options and no one can tell you you're wrong. Do a search on Shelby de Mexico and check them out. Jerry
