While jacking up my Vette last week the car slipped of the jack and bent the rocker panel up pretty bad and chipped the paint on the door.
I ordered a new rocker panel but I am not sure what to do about the paint chip. The chip is down low on the passenger door and is about as big as a quarter. It goes all the way to the gel coat.
The car is painted with a custom mix. It is metal flake underneath with 5 coats of raspberry clear followed by 5 coats of smoke. I have some of the paint left but it is 9 years old now. I can slop some in there with a brush in typical "touch up paint" fashion,but I am sure it will look like crud. Is there a solution?
