I have a Big Block Chevy Edelbrock aluminum water pump that started leaking from the weep hole last week.
It has less than 6000 miles of use on it but unfortunately is over a year old. Edelbrock won't replace it and for what they cost I can't see purchasing another. Anyone else have problems with their pumps , or am I the only lucky one.

That is definitely an option if the parts are available.

Likely that it doesn't take any different bearings or seal that a stock pump.

Any differences to improve volume would be in either the impeller shape/size or the pump cavity shape and the intenal fluid paths to and from the cavity.

I’d say your the unlucky one, I’ve seen the Edelbrock pump mostly last over 100,000 miles and few twice that.

Doesn't sound like Edelbrock offers a kit but then again, last post was in 2013.
