i have a 1983 gmc 3/4 with a 4 spd manual. i am getting ready to start building my first motor. i am looking for a budget build. i dont want a realy ratical motor but i am looking for a little over stock (something to brag about) but i still want to use to the truck to pull a camper or horse trailer. i am planning on boring the block a little getting the crank polished new bearings rods pistons and putting a set of redone heads on,ect. what i am wondering is what i should use for a cam. i am currently runing a edelbrock preformer intake and edelbrock carb which will most likly go to the new motor, any input would be very helpfull
