LOL!!

If I had a printer, I would print some of those out and start slappin em on windshields. Plenty of low flying crop dusters with wheels around here.

I think a new law went into effect on the 1st here in California, Any one caught street racing gets a 5k fine. I just over heard it one night on the news while i was on the pc. That law outta bring in the money.

That law is wrong as wrong can be. Our Constitution guarantees us freedom from "excessive fines" and "cruel and unusual punisment".

Yeah well tell that to the families who have lost loved ones due to illegal street racing. There is a time and place for racing, AT THE TRACK. As far as I'm concerned the fine should be way more than 5k.

If they make it a law, and you know it is the law, and you decide to break the law....who's fault is it?
Doesn't the law go back to "an eye for an eye"? God is the judge, and using the example of people being killed is judging and fining the racer for a crime that has not been committed.

Funny how we seem to keep getting more laws that don't work, instead of enforcing the ones we have already.

If you cause damage to property while under pursuit, then you have committed a felony. Start treating these people like felons. Send them to jail, or put them under house arrest. Seize their vehicle, and revoke their license.
Quit treating them like little kids. A slap on the hand is only an encouragement to do it again.

$5k? Take their ride. Hard to race, if your walking. "But your honor, I need that car to go to work/pick up kids/take my mom to the store/ got to school." BOO HOO HOO. You should have thought of that, before you were out tearing up the streets.

You want to race?

Apparrently, the previous fines were not enough deterrent. I'd bet you are against the death penalty, too.

You realize they used to hang horse theives?
What is the penalty for joyriding?

God doesn't have anything to do with a kid that wants to go out and intentionally play Russian Roulette with a ton rocket under his butt. So when the law says your gonna be fined, you are warned ahead of time. What you do after that is no ones doings but your own. The only way God plays into it is when you pray that you don't get caught. Look at it this way..you're not getting fined, it's just a $5000 admission to play.

Yea, well maybe God does play into it maybe sooner, maybe later...but He will be there. And maybe where you are at it is a 5 mile trip to the strip but here it's 80 one way. Kinda hard with a set of 4:11s..oh, and don't tell me to make it a trailer queen either.

If I didn't live near a drag strip I would get into the street scene in a heartbeat.

Maybe it should be a law that there is a strip in every county. Just like how there's a police and fire department. It's for everyones safety.

Your poor attempt at justification doesn't cut it. Frankly it shows contempt for your fellow citizens and disrespect for traffic laws. The laws are there to safeguard people in general.

I live 200 miles from the nearest track. Get yourself a quick change rear end if you don't want to trailer your car.

At least you don't have streets covered in ice with every ******* and his 4 by weaving in and out of traffic.

I believe the moto for most Winnipeg drivers is: Buy the largest vehicle you can afford, drive as fast as you can and don't worry about using turn signals or stopping for red lights.

Kinda hard with a set of 4:11s..oh, and don't tell me to make it a trailer queen either.

Just b4 Christmas, some butt head decided that he could drive as he pleases ignoring traffic laws. He somehow did not notice me stopped at the red light. My infant son was taken to the hospital with internal bleeding. I have whiplash, bruised ribs and a nice imprint of the airbag on my chest.

Who gave this person permission to cause myself and my son injury? How is it different that me walking by his home firing onto his living room? The potential for injury is there. Those who cause it should be punished.

He had better hope my son recovers from his injuries.

BTW I am suing him personally. If I win he will have his wages taken for a LONG time and if he fails to pay his credit will be sent to the toilet.

Go and spend some time in the ICU ward and see what "a little" speeding can do.

Hey I don't want to hear it, my ol' 76 has a set of 5.38 gears in my rear end and I drive the 40 miles to school everyday down the sideroads.

It is not how hard it is, it is how brave you are. My truck has 37 inch tires, 5.38 gears, and about 2000lbs of sand in the back and I still drive it everyday, its about love...

Hey hey, be nice, I'm a *******. I'm going to have to stand up for the name, we drive safely, well most of us do (at least on the road). We respect the laws because we know what our truck can do and its not much with 8 inches of lift oversized tires and a truck where driving nicely barely yealds 7 mpg.

Just had to say it,
