It must have been 1955 when I got my fist time to enjoy a simple old ford.
My buddy had a 32 Ford Five window coupe. He worked at a local junk yard that gave him an opportunity to interchange parts to improve the workings.
He found that 49 Mercury hubs would bolt on and that led to hydraulic brakes.
When winter came on he had to add some kind of heat for the cab.
He cut a hole in the firewall and placed a one quart can open on both ends behind the manifold.
It helped some, but not much.
There were lots of dirt roads in the early 50's and we did out share of sliding the 32 around the curves.
Later I got busy working but I never got the 32 out of my mind.
Man! Those were the days.
