Okay...
I'm sure this is a common question on this board, but who should we have paint the cab, fenders, hood, and bed of my wife's '55 Chevy Pickup?
The body is off the frame, needs to be stripped, and needs some minor body work.
She is thinking she wants it to be White with pink ghost flames.
It's going to be an every day driver, so it does not need to be show quality or have a show quality price tag.
Any sugestions?
Thanks in advance....

The guy a state over who doesn't have to use waterbase (not as strict on voc) and a shop rate about half what it would be in los angeles, LOL. Seriously though, the shop rates in California are all over the place I believe and you probably could get the same type of job in one area at a much lower price tag then another.

Sorry I am on the other side of the united states, and don't really know who to recommend. I don't even know many to recommend around my area. Powerrods on here is from gilroy, ca, and martin sr is from ca also. Hopefully one of those two or some other west coaster will chime in here with some recommendations.

I searched for a painter in LA, as well as Las Vegas. I finally found someone I feel is going to give me the best possible paint job for the money. Pintos paint works (702-247-9511) out here in Vegas.
The guy that owns the shop is Steve Pinto. His work is incredible. Definitely not cheap. The funny thing is he was recommended to me by 4 different people, and they didn't know each other. One of the guy's that recommended Pinto's lives out in Cali.
The great thing about Steve is he's working with me by allowing me to pay as we go. Most people I've talked to wanted a huge chunk up front. Been down that road, and got burned.
Not to say I didn't have to give some up front, but not what some were asking.
Hope I helped.
