Made inner panels, plus an aluminum cover over the fuel tank and battery.
First I made brackets for the roof (green arrows) and fastening points for the panel (red arrows). The blue arrow points at the remote opener for the trunk.
I decided to make the rear panels from 3mm aluminum, since I have the fuel tank right behind my back:
Tank/battery cover in place:
Made a winged Ford logo from a Ford grille emblem and a 32 headlight bar V8 ornament.
Made a pattern from a damping mat:

Completed with a velcro fastened top on the rear panel that covers the fastening bolts:
