do i need guide plates in stock heads if i want to use these?

1412-16- Chevy V8 265-400 -3/8" -1.52

and is that the right one's for a stock 350 chevy head ?

What year 350 are we talking about? Are the heads stock? (meaning non-vortec).

If your current rockers are being run with no guide plates then these will fit. Yes, those look like roller tip rockers for a small block Chevy.

The 1412's are for the stock 350 head and you do not need guide plates. I ran this type on a Pontiac motor for two years without any problems, no guideplates required there either.

Small and big block Fords are the only heads ComCams requires guideplates for.

its a 4 bolt 350 chevy all stock (other than the comp 280H "K" kit i put in it) and it;s out of a 72 chevy truck...
