Hi

I have a C10 with a custom PVC dash which has warped due to heat. The metal has been pounded in with a sledge hammer so the orginal is out. I was about to buy a thicker PVC board about $80.00 then lay with tweed. My friend suggested using sheet metal to mount the gauges then cover it and the metal with expanding foam. Sand the stuff smooth then cover. Does anyone know of issues I need to consider before proceeding?

I would do a small test piece first. But i hope someone else has more input cuz i too would like to know the answer to that question. btw that sounds like an awesome idea. I was going to try to do something out of fiberglass still not sure.

You couldnt directly cover over the foam, you would need to fiberglass over it.

build it like a speaker box wood form glass or bondo to form shape and then cover with material
