So... you say you have a fiberglass deuce body but the firewall is just a boring flat slab and you want something better. Well, if you want a realistic deuce firewall.... make one.

Here's the before and after shot. If you want to see the entire "how I did it" story..... check the link below.

Excellent work!

Your photos and commentary of your build are, as always, excellent. I am anxious to see your finished car and read about the first ride down the road.

ENJOY!!!

What is your dual master cyl. from?
It looks like the old combo brake/clutch unit in the old 63 GMC I had.

Great job on the firewall!

That's exactly what it is. I'm using an Ansen dual pedal setup which is designed to use the early 60's GM pickup twin (brake/clutch) master cylinder. Just need to swap the innards from one side to the other to have the brake and clutch systems on the correct side (which takes all of 5 minutes) and then everything just bolts together. Don't for the life of me understand why Chevy's pedal linkage reversed the sides but that's just the way they did it.

Looking at how you did it, very cool. Where did you get those giant valve covers for a small block Chevy? :mwink:

Hay! I'll have you know I had to fill in and finish grind two bullet holes in those damn things before getting them chromed. Probably from some Chevy guy.
