i am sure that this has been asked before and will probably be asked again but a friend of mine was asked me why i didnt convert my car to a manual transmission. It got me thinking about it and i was wondering what the price range would be? and what all is needed? i am going from a 350 in my nova and i would like to do a 4 speed most likely(if i even do it).
All i can think of would be the tranny, slave cylinder, bellhousing, clutch and pedal...
what else do i need and what is a reasonable price range?

Flywheel.
Steering column.
Drive shaft.
Inspection cover.
Cross member.
Mount.
Lots of patience.

STU, have you done this swap before, because I have been considering this on my 69 ford, because I could get a 4 speed for it, for VERY VERY cheap. As far as clutch pedal would hydraulic be the way to go? Or would finding a donor truck that has the manual set up be even easier....I'm thinking the latter....

A donor vehicle is much much easier.
I haven't done any on any vehicles I have owned but some for customers.
Never too proud to turn down money.
