is it possible to use a spool gun and mig weld with a miller squarewave tig that has stick capabilities?id like to turn my tig into a welding center (tig-mig-stick)and ditch my shotty 110 mig welder.
From my understanding it is not possible, as mig and tig work on different principles. A tig uses a constant current power source and a mig uses constant voltage.
I think you will find the 180CC is a constant current machine - fine for TIG and stick. MIG demands a constant voltage machine. Some of the higher end machines do both but it's not terribly common.
