to sum it all up i mixed up the push rods from one side of the engine, the other side is still organized in the correct order. my question is: how bad is it if i put them back together in any order.
they are chrome moly adjustable push rods. thanx

as long as there all the same lenth, and they go back in right side up, it really doesn`t matter that much, the marks on them should tell you which way is right side up, I`ve never bothered in the past to organize pushrods, and I`ve also taken spares out of spare engines and ran them without a problem.

if they are adjustable why not just reset them all?

As long as the ends are in good shape you will not have any problems. If they are messed up you need to replace them anyway..
