I recently bought a 29 truck and need to put in lower door patches. I mostly work on 60's -70's Gm cars so I know quality differs between vendors. I'm wondering who to buy A parts from?

This brings back memories, I did a Model A about 33 years ago and did the patch panels on both quarters, doors and cowl, both sides. I sure hope the patch panels of today are better than back then! It was one tiny step away from just making it from scratch.

Id make my own or go to the sheetmetal shop with an exact drawing and have them fold the edges on a brake once the edges are folded you can use a shrinker on the edges to put a curve in the piece.just trace the curve of the door bottom onto some cardbord ,mark the front and back and they can do the shrinking fairly easy.as long as your measurements are dead on and you give them a good drawing theres not much a good sheetmetal shop cant do...and they welcome the break from making heating ducts all day...
