I have a 1950 chevy pickup. i have installed a 350 transmission connected to a 350 crate eng. do i need to hook up the modulator valve from the trans to the carb?

To a vac source. It can be the carb or the intake as long as there is vac present.

Yes you do ...... vacumn port on base of carb.....or any vacumn source on the intake manifold.

Full manifold vacuum or it will do wierd schtuff......
