I've been kicking this idea around in my head but I just don't think it's going to work. I would like to put some form of fuel injection onto my 440. I'd like to go as cheap as possible so I might do the great junkyard search. My 440 is from a 1978 Chrysler New Yorker. To my knowledge, the 440 was discontinued after that year (or maybe it was '79...) because of something Lee Iacoca did to save the Chrysler Corp. (they had to actually break the molds....as if most of you didn't know that already  ) Is there some way I could even snag a TBI unit off of an old Mopar truck and make it work with the 440?
Also, does anyone know of a company that makes a centrifugal blower for the 440? The centrifugal blower would be perfect because the boost is increased exponentially. Therefore, I would be running fairly low boost at low RPM's and wouldn't have to sacrific a lot of traction like the Roots or screw-type blowers would cause with the higher boost at low RPM's.
Hope someone has some answers!! :D

I remember an article in a Mopar magazine from about 1997 or 1998 that reported on a Cuda or Challenger with a 440 and an F.I. system that looked like the TPI system that the Corvette's and Camaro's ran in the mid 80's.

If I remember correctly the system was custom built by the owner of the car and that the car could get 21 mpg.

I'll take a look in my old car books this weekend and get back to you.

If you don't hear from me soon email me.

It may be hard to find a centrifugal blower for a 440. A paxton would be easy to mount and is fairly simple to set up, but it won't put much boost on that many cubes. You can build them hotter and make them put out more, but then they don't last. If you have any question feel free to email me, I would be glad to help.
