Hi everybody,
This question goes to all the mopar fans on the sight. I am currently hot rodding a 54 IHC pickup, It is going on a 94 dakota frame so that i have power steering, disc bakes ect... I was planning on droping in V8 power. I understand that the 318 would be the easiest, but i was debating a 340 or 440, I am hoping to get some discussions going, maybe some one will have a perspective on the situation that i have not thought of:p well im hoping this happens.

Howdy Mopar Truck! It's nice to see another MOPAR fan on the board!!! I drive a '71 Plymouth MaxWedge Duster with a 499. MAX and I just did our first shake down runs this past weekend. Previously, MAX had a 440 in him.

Questions you may want to consider: Do you want a strip/street machine? What kind of hp do you want to make? What about cams, rockers, lifters, crank shaft, intake manifold, etc.? And, of course, heads? What kind of Heads? I put in the new Bulldog Heads. Mine happen to be the very first casting and it took a little porting to get them right, but boy do they flow and really perform! And, the new Bulldog Valley Covers come in 2 pieces so they are adjustable and seal very easy! And, there is another question: How much do you want to spend? And are you able to do the machining and fabricating yourself? My husband and I went through all the same questions and finally came up with a combination that we believe will certainly work for me and it's unlike any other MOPAR out there. At the moment, MAX and I are the only ones running Bulldogs on the track. I know others who have purchased the Bulldogs and will soon be on the track. They're great heads! Just a lot of questions to ask yourself.
