need some advice on 63

I had one of my friends get me some part for my
63 van (468)9:5 comp
the parts were a mech. cam ,roller rockers SOLID LIFTERS

how come soild lifter instead of rollers like the rockers?
do they run good together ?

I went and bought some allum heads dont have a therm. theads
any ideas on where to drill or put the temp gage.

anybody heard any good from quick fuel carbs. :sweat:

I can't answer your question on the head's but I can recommend quick fuel carburetors. I have one on a 350 sbc and its the q series drag racing carb. They have a different line of carbs for street to all out racing. They are from Ohio I do believe and I have called them before for tech questions and they are very nice. They have had some people with issues before with the carb's being dirty from sitting in the box for a long time but I just cleaned out mine with carb cleaner and it ran like a charm.
