Hello everyone,

I am in the beginning stages of building a 1988 Chevy C1500 short box sport side for street use. The truck is equiped with the 4.3l 6 with TBI, a 5 speed manual transmission, and I believe a 3.42:1 rear.

I plan on replacing the 4.3 with a stroked 350 (383) and headers for now.

I realize that 1988 is newer than what typically one would want for a hot rod. However I like the idea of keeping some sort of fuel injection as opposed to a carburator and thought this would be a good place to start.

Any comments, suggestions, or experiences would certainly be helpful.

Thanks for any and all input.
