Quit whining....they had a car done for free....ok true, messing up the motor is never a good thing...but this 442 was in BAD shape. It would have taken a whole lot more money to repair the entire car than just what is wrong with it now.....

imo OF COURSE!

I dont care whose care it is and what you plan on doing to it. You do not rod around doing burnouts and cookies. That is completely rude, even if the owner tells me to hammer it down I have to second guess myself.

They may have put a lot of body work into the car and a nice paint job. But its not the paint that drives a car. Yes they got it for free, but if they can't afford to pay to fix what the hosts screwed up... this whole ordeal was worthless.

I dont know how much of this whole deal is true, but I do know I would be a little irked if someone was rodding around in my car, overheated it to 250 degrees and then continued to drive it.

All I gotta say is that if all that work was done to my car after the shape it was in and I got it back with the engine knockin'.......I still would feel pretty lucky that all that work was done. After all of that, the engine would be a minor thing considering most of the components are STILL GOOD. Sure it may take a little bit of time and a few bucks but I don't think I would look a gift horse in the mouth. They got practically a brand new car except for the engine and to be put on meds over the stress.... I'm sorry but I just don't buy that. If the car was cherried out from the beginning with the ORIGINAL engine and with low miles then I would be pissed. Bt it is not even the original engine. He has it sitting in the garage. Then the comment is made about all the stress, now on meds, can't sleep, no money to do anything, and can't get any satisfaction...but to resolve it will proibably have to rebuild the original engine at a cost of a couple of grand. In my opinion...they want it all for nothing. OverHaulin...you can do my ride anytim you want:thumbup:

I've got to agree with Kev. Send them my way to finish my 36, I'm tired of sanding. Got a brand new engine and trans, I promise not to squeal if it isn't perfect. Chip Foose design work on my car would be awesome bragging rights. Dan

The wife's a whine bag. She cries and moans and medicates herself to everyone (but say's she not like that) about the emotional stress this show has put them through. I really wonder what she thought she was getting? I give her the respect that the engine overheated and possible was damaged incurred but according to her, it overheated because the rear gear wasn't freeway friendly. 3:93's aren't that tall. Even at 80 mph it's reason to say there was something going on here besides the crew running the car hard.

Continuing to read the post, she does nothing but whine about how they messed up her car, the gen. light stay's on, the dome light is to bright, the rear brake line touches the exhaust at full droop. The nitro system was hooked up "not exactly right", according to her friend, then completely disconnected before they received the car back. Funny how in every post she tells a little more info about what happened to her and her husbands car. Her husbands car! Notice he's not the one doing the complaining. Sounds like she isn't getting the attention anymore she was just after the show and she's milking everyone for what they can give. Honestly, What kind of work can you expect for free and in less that a week? 15,000 in free craftsmanship and she's not even thank full. Till her guilty conscience get's to her. I don't even like the show but I will defend it this time. This lady needs see the good in what she got(for free) and get over the insecurities surrounding her and whether her husband really like the work done or not.
