Overheating 1940 216 cu in chevy

I am happy to be around some good intel fact group, all of the tips were correct on the overheating....the man needed to know about the prop blade position, the blades should face right , bearing is sealed so no lube, then check for loose or not turning pump, do the boiling water check on the thermostat & then check the vacuum advance....if all else then the head has some kind of blockage, seemed to not overheat before being resurfaced I think.

I've got a 40 special deluxe w/ a 216 that's also overheating. I just had radiator redone and flushed but no luck. I'm watching ur posts and have learned a lot. I'm 19 yrs old and just learning. Thank u
