glad to hear you are happy..nothing better than doing something that you are proud of...
Always great to hear when a novice has success with their paint job. When you post up your pics, also give us a rundown on how you prepped and painted the car and the steps you took along the way. This can be very valuable to other novice painters like myself.

Well, following the dictates of the church, I guess one step above Novice........is Nun. So I'll have to qualify myself as a Nun Painter from here on out. That is if I can get into the habit.

Ha,Ha the habit,my wifes a nun..nun in the mornin, nun in the evening, you think you could paint a smile on her face?
Even though painting is how I've made my living before, I wouldn't call myself a professional. As soon as you think you got the painting thing figured out, you end up getting humbled in short order. Allright, who let the rookie pick up the gun. :D
oops, :welcome: :p but truer words have never been spoken, enjoy it while it lasts,we never got to the down side, when it comes we'll still be here for ya,but if you love it you win, might even be the next chip foose

So true. I spent the last couple weeks in the shop, about 30 people stopped by wanting me to paint their heaps. I have more than enough work for the summer. I don't want to see any more rust buckets either! :boxing:
HA,HA ,just wait till the insurance companies get done with their little gang bang, you won't even know you sheet yourself till you smell it.LOL its all part of paying the dues, only ,most that make it that far get miserable and drunk or worse.so heres some advice to all you young guns out there:stay small, keep an open mind ,dont let mistakes get you down, they only make you better, do it for love not money, its not work if you love it.keep a watchfull eye out cause everyone is going to try to screw you, always have a clear understanding of price and the work your going to do,get a signed contract. I hope this helps these are the things I've had the most trouble with,be very cautious of redos or finishing anothers work,if they had a problem one painter you'll probably have trouble with them too.I still love it but have a little trouble holding my mud.laugh at yourself first Mike O.
