Pinto/MII steering wheel play

I have a 76 Pinto rack and only just got my SR on the road and find I have 1&1/2" play in my 15" steering wheel. Seems to me like a lot. It is not in the linkage. Is this adjustable or should I just get a new rebuilt one? :welcome:

Is it a manual rack?

It's a power rack, however, I am useing it as a manual. :welcome:

Its probably the steering box. Cole
