Ditto Bob and Cobalt... RUN AWAY!!!

BTW, the correct housing bore is 2.3745-2.3750".

It's a complete waste of money to 'rebuild" stock Pontiac rods. They're cast steel, not forged. They were inadequate when NEW, and now have a bazillion "cycles" on them. For about $250 (roughly the cost of rebuilding the stockers with ARP bolts), you can get 5140 forged I-beams with a 7/16" bolt. FAR superior to the cast rod, and better than ALL of the factory rods, possible exceptioin, the ultra-rare 421SD 4340 rods from '62 and '63. The 455SD 5140 rods are not as good as the "replacement" rods (IMO).

Crankshaft main journals for a 350 are 3.00", same as 326, 389, & 400. The 2.3745-2.3750, that Mr. P-Body gave, is the diameter of the rod big end before the bearings are installed.
