My father has owned a 68 grand prix for 32 years and I am a ford man, anyway we were talking and we dont know if it is a big or a small block. is there anyway to tell without measuring the stroke? the engine looks pretty wide and has the manifold that looks like a spider to me with the oil pan under the manifold. any info is appreciated. thanks

When dealing with pontiac engines forget the terms big block and small block. All pontiac engines are medium block, they all share the same external dimentions and are easily swapped back and forth for this reason.
