Yes and no to the computer, most climate/dual climate have a seperate computer called a BCM (Body Control Module). I believe it recieves input directly from the coolant temp., sunload,interior/exterior temperature etc. sensors and doesn't need the ECM to control the HVAC. However you will need this module (BCM) along with the power amplifier module (to control fan speeds) in order to make it work. :)

First, do you really want to do this, and are you ready (skill/toolwise) to tackle this? (not going to be easy and no bulletin board in the world will be able to help much unless you are competent/experienced with the task at hand) Second, is the ductwork etc. from the donor able to be fit under the dash? Third, is a dual climate control practical in a small area such as a pickup cab? Those are just a few questions that come to mind at the moment. I'm not saying not to do it by any means, but this is a real task even for the pros. and anyone that tells you it's easy, have not been there and have not done that. Are you ready to do some cutting and modifying to your truck? I'll help all I can, but I would hate to see you bite off more than you can chew (it's a pretty big bite). It's definately do-able, but make sure to have a plan first. :)

It's still a neat idea, except maybe just go with a conventional type climate control or just an aftermarket system (More installer freindly). I like hotrods with A/C, nothin' like a fast ride with the comfort of a daily driver. ;)
