Have a '65 Galaxie. 352, automatic. Edelbrock Carb(w/spacer between it and intake), perc tronic ignition, MSD plugs and wires.

Runs great cold, great when at operating temp. BUT... Once warm if I leave it idle and build underhood temp (200-205 degrees) for a few minutes it will idle and run under light acceleration, but when calling for more than half throttle it stutters and will even backfire occasionally.

Have rerouted fuel line, new cap and rotor, new aluminum 3 core radiator & electric fan, new hoses, new thermostat, tried electric fuel pump, new water pump, new fuel lines & filter, new ignition system and back to points, tried a different coil, etc.

Any ideas???????
