Ok my power steering, when I turn the wheel to its maximum it starts to make a loud squeak and wont stop unless I turn the wheel the other way a little bit and I was wanting to know if all old trucks (1972 C20 Chevy) do that because I want to fix it and if I can fix it how?

this is normal it is the pressure releif valve dumping.

The noise is there to tell you to quit turning the wheel like that.

Turning the wheel the whole way puts enormous stress on the pump. Its designed to handle it, but its not nice to just hold it hard against the steering stop. Usually on most cars the amount the belt can grip and the amount of resistance the pulley gets from the pump are about the same, so depending on how tight you have your pump belt, it may or may not squeal.
