I have a 92 Corvette with 70,000 orig.miles. I dream of pulling off the body and putting a hot rod body on the frame. Possibly a kit car. anybody ever hear of any thing like this being done?

The C4 is kind of unibody and the dimensions don’t lend well to any kind of swap. However the front suspension and rear suspension are sub frames and are common to put into hot rods. But you will need to build the frame itself
