Hey everyone, need help with tech ? I have a gen v 454 with gen iv 781 heads. My question is would the pushrods length be the same on a gen iv and a gen v motor ? And in this case do I have to do something different ??

Gen V motors have roller cams and taller lifters. The Gen V pushrods are shorter.

If you are using all stock type cam/lifters, Gen V parts. Use the Gen V pushrods and the earlier heads.

yes the pushrods were shorter, maybe I need to clarify. As stated stock gen. v bottom end , 781 heads, but a lunati hyd. cam non roller, it is a .542 int. and.554 ex.. so I thought I could use stock height gen iv pushrods. Is this suitable, Thank you for your info. Oh by the way the engine was not a roller cam , it was a hyd. flat tappet. But by the numbers it is a gen v motor ?????
