Ok Im rushing again to get the motor running, put the heads on and then read the instructions! If I have to clearance the heads for pushrods,is it possible to do with the heads bolted down? Im using 3/8 diameter pushrods and guide plates.
Will know for sure tomorrow in the daylight.
I presume the problem may be aluminium shavings going everwhere!

What motor did you do this on? Did you swap to aluminum heads? Or just swap out the lifters and rocker arms? And if your using guide plates,are your pushrods hardend?

And what rocker ratio.? 1.5 you might be ok. I wouldnt chance grinding on the heads if you need more pushrod clearance, pull the heads off and do it right.....yes that means new gaskets!!!
