Just curious as to what's possible. For those who drag race, would anyone want share their best times and mph while running on a mechanical fuel pump only? I am in the lower echelon for sure but I'll start. [email protected] in a 4000lb car with 3/8" line, Pontiac 455, mild cam, auto, 2800 flash, and 3:08 rear. Thank you.

I have a friend that has a pair of S-10 bracket trucks that he shares with his business partner. Both have been lightened but I don't have an idea of weight. One has a 434/glide, the other a 383/glide. Up until about 2 seasons ago, the 383 ran a mechanical block mounted pump. The ETs were generally in the 6.20-6.30 range, probably 105-107 mph. He finally decided to put an electric pump on it - one of those $35 box pumps. ET and mph didn't change.

Ive seen 8 second alky cars with block mounted pumps.
Where ya going with this?
