Hi all, I have a 72 Chevelle with drum brakes up front. I would like to convert them to disks. What donor cars are compatible so that I can go to the junkyard and pull a set from, and what all do I need besides the rotors, spindles, and maybe brake lines?

You will also need a proportioning valve and the disk/drum master cylinder.

Chevelle, Lemans, Cutlass and Skylark setups are all the same in those years.

Chevelle may be different but on a '68 Nova conversion I had to get the '70's front disc steering arms. The original Nova arms had some intereference issues with the disc brackets and bump stop tang or what ever it's called. I also opted for some new '84 Chevy AstroVan calipers, they bolted right up to the mounting brackets and rebuild parts, pads, etc., should be easier to locate later on.
