Have you ever covered the stock door panels of a Chevy truck with tweed or something similiar to dress them up. I want to get something done to my truck panels ('89 Silverado). The carpet at the bottoms of the doors are just glued on and are starting to show their age. And thru the middle of the door panel there is a cloth material but over the years everything tends to fade and whatever so my door panels have about 3-4 different colors in them. I don't want any thing real elaborate but I want something that looks real clean. If you have done something like that would you have a pic to post? How busy are you? I just might have to make a road trip to Fort Wayne to drop my truck off. If anybody else has redone the factory molded panels I'd really like to see some pics. Thanks in advance to all.

Dont think I have any digital images to send of your particular panel, but i have done quite a few coverings of stock panels. Lots of S-10 door panels, done some BMW panels, and even a set of Caravan panels (all of them that I can think of off hand). And of course tons of custom made panels. Actually, a truck I did is in this months issue of MiniTruckin magazine. On the average, Im usually backed up about 4 to 5 months.

You can do your own doors, its easy I'm doing the interior of my 37 Ford PU and I didn't think it was posible before I started. Look up do it yourself at
<a href="http://www.roddoors.com" target="_blank">www.roddoors.com</a> they sell abs panels and spray glue also fabric.

My only suggestion about Rod Doors is to buy your material elsewhere. Tweed at $32 a yard is marked up 300%. I would feel guilty charging more than $20 a yard for tweed. And its the exact same stuff anyone else has, its nothing special.
